Symptom

Java application does not start and the following entry can be found in the defaultTrace:


Caused by: com.sap.engine.services.servlets_jsp.server.exceptions.
WebDeploymentException: Web application [/] does not contain
"/WEB-INF/web.xml" file or it is spelt incorrectly.
