Symptom
- SAP Lumira does not allow a geographic attribute to be placed in a geographic vizualization.
Environment
- Windows 7

Reproducing the Issue
- Select a geographic visualization in the vizualize view.
- Drag a geographic attribute to the Geography box.
- Lumira will not allow the attribute to be placed and will give the message "Only geographic smart objects are allowed in this feed".
Cause
Geographic attributes can only be added if they are part of a geographic hierarchy.
Resolution
To add the geographic attribute it needs to be made part of a geographic hierarchy. To create a geographic hierarchy follow these steps:
1 - Right click one of the geography attributes and select "Create a geographic hierarchy...".
2 - Select one of the two options "By Names" or "By Latitude / Longitude". In this example "By Names" was chosen.
3 - Fill out the the required information in the next Geographic Enrichment dialog box.
4 - Now the Geographic attribute can be selected from the Hierarchy pane and placed in the Geography box.
