1915835 - Error Message: Assignment not valid; target managing position not yet activated, While Activating an Organizational Structure

When you try to activate an Org Structure, system throws below error message:

Assignment not valid; target managing position not yet activated

1. Go to Organizational Management work center.
2. Select Edit Org Structures.
3. Activate the Org Structure.

The cause for the issue could be because of,

1. You have assigned a Service Agent to one of the Org Unit in the Planning Area. But the Service Agent is not assigned to any Org Centre as Employee as of that date.

Therefore the managerial assignment is not activated.

For Example: The Service Agent is assigned to the Org Unit as a Manager from 01.01.2010 but the Service Agent is assigned as a Employee to an Org Unit from 01.01.2011 which was not activated.

2. You have assigned a Service Agent to one of the Org Unit and assigned the Service Agent as Manager as well (same or different Org Unit).

If you need to assign the Service Agents as Manager, they have to be assigned to an Org Unit first under Employees tab of that Org Unit. This Org Unit then needs to be activated, Afterwards you should be able to assign the Service Agent as a Manager and then activate this Org Centre.
