1916414 - Crystal reports fail to run, repair or Install operations fail with registry errors on unix deployments

• Users including administrators are not able to view any Crystal Reports
• Reports failing with errors such as:  An error occured while creating sub-process in the processing server[RCRAS0004]
• All the crystal reports are failing with the error: An error occured while creating sub-process in the processing server[RCRAS0004]
  RAS server is not starting.
• Tried running registry repair script from SAP KBA 1417326 - but it failed with error as below
  <BusinessObjects Install folder>/bobje/enterprise120/aix_rs6000/crpe/mw//bin/tools/core_services.common[32]: 11534376 Terminated Failed to start Core Services
• SAP KBA 1821251 did not help either
• cleaning up all temporary files, stray processes and shared memory does not help resolve the issue
• Tired a RE-INSTALL on a brand new directory, new CMS Database and new Filestore, but the install fails with errors
• The Issue is identical to one defined  - sap note 1424944  - but that is not the real issue because there are several other servers with same type of file system on AIX and still work fine
• Reboot and reinstall were tried earlier but they failed

• The Installer failed while registering binaries with entries similar to below (on several binaries) -
