1916597 - Error 5130 occurs when adding an existing table to an Advantage Data Dictionary

Symptom

When adding an existing table to an Advantage Data Dictionary (ADD), using the SQL stored procedure sp_AddTableToDatabase with an 8.1 client connecting to a 9.1 server, the error 5130 was returned. This did not happen if using an 8.1 client connected to an 8.1 server.
