How to add an additional entry in the Campaign Type field of the Campaign document.

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Go to the Marketing work center.
  2. Select New Campaign under Common Tasks.
  3. Add the required details in the campaign.
  4. Select the View All button and go to the General tab.
  5. In the Campaign Type field you want to add an additional field.


In the current release of SAP Business ByDesign system, there is no option for adding any other value to the standard field Campaign Type.


As a workaround you can create an extension field with all campaign types you need. Ignore the standard Campaign Type values and use extension field instead. You can add extension field using key user adaptation mode.

Follow the below steps to add the extension field which can be used instead of the standard field Campaign Type:

  1. Go to the Marketing work center.
  2. Create a New Campaign from Common Tasks.
  3. Select the View All button.
  4. Go to the General tab.
  5. Select Adapt -> Select Enter Adaptation Mode and then choose Edit Screen.
  6. Select the General section.
  7. Select Extensions Field.
  8. Select the Add button.
  9. In the Add New Field pop-up screen, select the filed type as List.
  10. Add the values required e. g. Appointment in the Field Type List.
  11. Add the Field Label e. g. Customized Campaign Type -> Save.
  12. Make the field Visible.
  13. Save and Publish

Now You can find the Customized Campaign Type field on the New Campaign screen, you can choose values from this field and ignore the standard Campaign Type field.
