1919394 - Errors 3606 and 3454 occurred during the 'online database' phase of upgrade - SAP ASE

Symptom

Upgrading from  ASE 12.5.4 generated these errors:

  • Msg 3606, Level 16, State 0: Server 'Server_name', Line 1:
    Arithmetic overflow occurred.
  • Msg 3454, Level 20, State 1: Server 'Server_name', Line 3:
    Database 'db_name': ASE could not completely upgrade this database; upgrade item 1564 could not be installed. ASE could not bring database 'db_name' online.
