Symptom

  • Using square brackets to quote the database name when executing a stored procedure using Sybase.Data.AseClient.AseCommand causes ASE error 2812:

Msg 2812, Level 16, State 5:
Server 'ASE', Line 1:
Stored procedure 'p1' not found. Specify owner.objectname or use sp_help to check whether the object exists (sp_help may produce lots of output).
