  • The SAP system log (SM21) sporadically displays the following error message: 'System time was set externally in the past. Wait <n> second(s)'
  • Category                     Internal kernel error

    Short Text
    The time on the database server is not correct.

    How to correct the error
    The time on the database server might have been set forward or back in the system.

    In the present case, the plausibility criteria for the time on the database server have been violated.
    Older time stamp         : See former similar dump: Sun Nov 01 00:59:49 2099#
    More recent time stamp: See former similar dump: Sun Nov 01 00:29:59 2099#"  <<< earlier than "Earlier timestamp"
