1923852 - Getting error "java.lang.NullPointerException" while viewing instances of a Web Intelligence document (with prompts) scheduled using RESTful web services.

Symptom

  • When a Webi report with prompts based on a Universe is scheduled to mail/file destination using RESTful web services, while viewing the history of the report throws "Unexpected error decoding JSF component : {0}" error. The instances can be seen in the Instance manager. But when the status of the instance scheduled using RESTful is viewed it gives the following error: 

          "java.lang.NullPointerException"

  •  When this instance is deleted, the instances scheduled through CMC can be seen again in the history.
