1924639 - MobiLink synchronization server cannot start with PKCS #1, PKCS #5 or PKCS #12 private-key encrypted certificates

Symptom

When starting a MobiLink server with a security certificate that has a private key that is encrypted using PKCS #1, PKCS #5 or PKCS #12 (*.pfx), one of the following errors may be displayed on the MobiLink server console log:

  • Error: Unable to initialize the 'certicom_ssl' network layer. Unable to read certificates. The system-specific error code is 12392 (hex 00003068).
  • Error: Unable to initialize the 'certicom_ssl' network layer. Unable to read certificates. The system-specific error code is 12393 (hex 00003069).
  • Error: Unable to initialize the 'certicom_ssl' network layer. Unable to read certificates. The system-specific error code is 12394 (hex 0000306a).
  • Error: Unable to initialize the 'certicom_ssl' network layer. Unable to read certificates. The system-specific error code is 12395 (hex 0000306b).
  • Error: Unable to initialize the 'certicom_ssl' network layer. Unable to read certificates. The system-specific error code is 12396 (hex 0000306c).
  • Error: Unable to initialize the 'certicom_ssl' network layer. Unable to read certificates. The system-specific error code is 12397 (hex 0000306d).
  • Error: Unable to initialize the 'certicom_ssl' network layer. Unable to read certificates. The system-specific error code is 20756 (hex 00005114).
  • Error: Unable to initialize the 'certicom_ssl' network layer. Unable to read certificates. The system-specific error code is 20763 (hex 0000511b).
