1925143 - Restricted Limit on Bank Account Number

What is Restricted Limit in the Bank Account Number Field

1. Go to the Personnel Administration Work Center.
2. Choose Employees View.
3. Select option show active employees of countries (Austria, Australia, Germany, Netherlands and Spain).
4. Now choose one of the active employees and click the edit button.
5. Choose the Personal data tab
6. Find the Payment information sub tab.
7. Select the payment method option.
8. Add a row in the bank accounts and once we choose the bank
9. We get an error message 'Length of Bank Account must not exceed 10 characters'.

For countries Austria, Australia, Germany, Netherlands and Spain, When we enter more than 10 characters in the Bank account number field, we get an error message 'Length of Bank Account must not exceed 10 characters'. This is due to the legal requirement in these countries.

The Restricted limit of the Bank account number field is 35 characters with an exception of countries Austria, Australia, Germany, Netherlands and Spain(maximum 10 characters only) due to legal the requirements in these countries.
