Symptom

  • While setting up SAP BI Platform 4.x with Explorer add-on installed, the managed system setup fails on step 2 (Check Prerequisites)
  • The following error is thrown:

         The definition of Technical System <TECHNICAL SYSTEM NAME> is not correct.   <EXPLORER SERVICE NAME> must have at least one Software Component Version
  • This landscape has multiple nodes with Explorer Adaptive Processing Servers running some of the nodes
