1926840 - During the Upgrade Process there are no Data Source Changes Possible

While you try to create, modify or save a data source you get the following warning and then error message:

• During the Upgrade Process there are no Data Sources Changes Possible
• Save Failed

SAP Business by Design

1. Go to the Business Analytics work center and then choose the view Design Data Sources.
2. Create a New Data source or Edit an existing one.
3. During the various step you first get the warning message:
• During the Upgrade Process there are no Data Sources Changes Possible.
4. If you continue and try to save the Data source the following Error message is then displayed:
• During the Upgrade Process there are no Data Sources Changes Possible
• Save Failed

The reason of the error is that the system is undergoing an upgrade and such action is not allowed.

This system behavior is as designed. In fact, it is not allowed to perform such activities during the system upgrade as it may cause system inconsistencies. In order to be able to perform such activities you must wait for the completion of the upgrade.
