1928192 - Using timestamp ranges in SE16

Symptom

When accessing transaction SE16 and trying to select the entries of a specific timestamp interval, the following might happen:

  • Case 1: A timestamp range is specified as per the image below:

and the error Lower limit is greater than upper limit is presented:

  • Case 2: A valid timestamp is specified, but the expected entries are not returned.

An example can be seen in the image below:

It is expected that all the results between 03.09.1997 02:00:00 and 05.09.1997 03:00:00 are displayed, but instead the entries are not returned or the message No table entries found for specified key is shown:

If the fields that specify the time (in this case ERNAM) are left empty, the results are displayed:

And the entries above satisfy the range between 03.09.1997 at 02:00:00 and 05.09.1997 03:00:00.
