1930981 - Universe Designer throws unknown exception when connecting via SSL to a CMS over VPN

Symptom

  • The Central Management Server is configured to use CORBA SSL using mixed mode or ssl mode
  • Connecting to the CMS using thick clients such as Designer or Central Configuration Manager fails and gives "Unknown Exception"
  • BOTrace from the client shows the following trace entries:
