1932116 - Error "ANS0201E (RC109) Invalid parameter was found" in TSM using DUMP DATABASE - SAP ASE

Symptom

  • Command DUMP DATABASE fails using IBM Tivoli Storage Manager (TSM) which is configured with LAN-FREE option.
  • Error messages are similar to the following:

Backup Server session id is: 74. Use this value when executing the 'sp_volchanged' system stored procedure after fulfilling any volume change request from the Backup Server.
Backup Server: 4.132.1.1: Attempting to open byte stream device: 'syb_tsm::bck_testdb.dmp::000'
Backup Server: 4.124.2.1: Archive API error for device='syb_tsm::bck_testdb.dmp::000': Vendor application name=Sybase-TSM API, Library version=2, API routine=syb_open(), Message=Tivoli Storage Manager error returned. Message = ANS0201E (RC109) Invalid parameter was found.
Msg 8009, Level 16, State 1: Server 'XXX', Line 1: Error encountered by Backup Server. Please refer to Backup Server messages for details.
