Symptom
- The database of the BW system grows rapidly and the most grow is observed for table RSBERRORLOG.
- The cleanup procedure for this table is aborted with memory and/or tablespace problems.
- During the master data update process using DTP at the time of delta handling too many messages are sent to the DTP monitor for example 'RSDMD 290', 'RSDMD 291', 'RSDMD 292' or 'RSDMD 293' notifiying the user about the record modified, merged, deleted or created respectively. These messages are also filled in the the table used for error logging (RSBERRORLOG) which grows substantially in size and occupies huge database space.
- The analysis report RSB_ANALYZE_ERRORLOG returns incorrect results. This particularly affects the number of requests. There is no report that you can use to delete the error handling logs. The report RSBM_ERRORLOG_DELETE does not exist.
- The deletion of entries in the table RSBERRORLOG of the DTP error handler terminates with a database dump when the requests to be deleted are too large.
