1942630 - Feature Request to set In-Memory Database (IMDB) as system tempdb - SAP ASE

Symptom

  • System performance gains up to 20% when using IMDB over traditional disk based tempdb.
  • This gain is system specific, the gain may be higher, lower or non-existent for other systems.
  • Also note that IMDB is not a standard ASE feature but a licensed option.
  • The feature request is to enable the system tempdb (dbid=2) to be created as an IMDB.
