1943583 - Managed JAVA System does not start because ByteCodeAdapter files are missing after failover/restart

Symptom

After a fail over of the managed system or a restart the Byte Code Adapter (Introscope JAVA Agent) files are missing from the SMDAgent path:

  • /usr/sap/<SID>/SMDA<XX>/SMDAgent_<instance>/applications.config/com.sap .smd.agent.application.wily/Bytecode Agent/ISAGENT<Version>/wily"

The std_server* of the managed system shows the following error, and due to it the JAVA system does not start correctly:

Error opening zip file or JAR manifest missing : /usr/sap/<SID>/SMDA<XX>/SMDAgent_<instance>/applications.config/com.sap .smd.agent.application.wily/Bytecode Agent/ISAGENT<Version>/wily/Agent.jar
Error occurred during initialization of VM
agent library failed to init: instrument
