1943605 - "R3trans -d" fails following ASE upgrade - SAP ASE for Business Suite

You are running SAP NetWeaver (ABAP stack) on  SAP ASE database.

You upgrade the ASE/DBClient versions and SAP cannot connect to the database thereon. You are able to connect to the database directly via isql.

'startsap' and 'R3trans -d' fail with the following errors  - these errors regarding objects not being found are possibly related to the ASE/DBCLIENT levels not being in sync with the SAP Kernel/DBSL:
