Project Baseline is routed to wrong manager for approval.

SAP Business ByDesign

1. Go to Project Management work center.
2. Choose Change Management View.
3. Choose Baselines sub view.
4. Find and choose the Project XYZ (XYZ represents the Project ID).
5. Choose View button.
6. Under Basic Data tab you can see the Approver for the Project Baseline.

To check whether the system has routed to right responsible unit manger.

1. Go to Project Management work center.
2. Choose Projects View.
3. Choose Projects sub view.
4. Find and choose the Project XYZ (XYZ represents the Project ID).
5. Choose Edit and Project Plan button.
6. Navigate to Accounting tab.
7. Under Organizational Assignments you can see the Responsible Unit double click on the Responsible Unit ABC (ABC represents the cost center name).
8. Here you will be able to see the Manager Name for the respective Responsible Unit.
9. If the Responsible Unit manager is not maintained it will go next available Cost Center Manager.

1.There are default settings for project base line approvals which would work when no multi step approvals are maintained

2. You might have used wrong work distribution in multi step approvals.

1.By default Project Baseline Approval shall go to Responsible (Cost Center) Manager which is assigned to the Project.

If Responsible Unit Manager is not maintained then it will go to next available cost center manager/line manager as appearing in organisation structure.

2.If multistep approvals is maintained it can be seen under application user management work center> approval process> baselines

so approver is triggered based on it .
