1944400 - CPU utilization of "AMPService.exe" process becomes very high and file size of AMP_ERRORS messaging database table becomes very huge.

Symptom

(1)  After considerable amount of registration and initialization activities of mobile client application, the CPU utilization of SUP Server is exhausted, up to 100%.

(2)  The CPU utilization of the process "AMPService.exe" (a messaging synchronization service of Unwired Server) becomes very high.

(3)  The AMP_ERRORS table (Sybase\UnwiredPlatform\Servers\MessagingServer\Data\OBR\AMP_ERRORS.* files) in the messaging database (Advantage Database Server, also known as ADS) of SUP becomes very huge.  Its data file size could be more than 30 GB.

(4)  The Advantage Database Error log (ADS_ERR.* files located by default in the root of C:\ on data tier, which can be opened by Advantage Data Architect) contains a lot of error code 7073 (which means "The maximum number of memo blocks has been reached"), for example,

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Please note that the above output was exported from the ADS_ERR table for ALL Columns.

Please kindly refer to the following Advantage Database Server documentation for more details about the error code 7073:

7073 The maximum number of memo blocks has been reached

(5)  If you capture some ERROR_DESC memo field column from table AMP_ERRORS, and then put into text file with UTF-8 encoding, you may see the following problems:

Problem (i):

error_id = 1227, device_id = 282,

error_desc =

Transformer error for queue id = 9410: System.Exception: System.Exception: Unable to send a message to this user, the device has not yet been activated

   在 Sybase.UnwiredPlatform.WorkflowClient.Transformer.ProcessMail(ContextData oContextData, MailData oMailData, String& sData)

   在 iAnywhere.MobileOffice.AMP.PluginProxy.RunTransformPlugin(PluginCallContext oCallContext)

   在 iAnywhere.MobileOffice.AMP.Transformer.ProcessOneQueueItem(Connection oConn, Record oRec)

Problem (ii):

error_id = 2341, device_id = 311

Responder error for queue id = 2341: System.Exception: System.NullReferenceException: 未将对象引用设置到对象的实例。

   在 Sybase.UnwiredPlatform.WorkflowClient.Responder.ProcessResponse(ContextData oContextData, String sData)

   在 iAnywhere.MobileOffice.AMP.PluginProxy.RunResponsePlugin(PluginCallContext oCallContext)

   在 iAnywhere.MobileOffice.AMP.Responder.ProcessOneQueueItem(Connection oConn, Record oRec)

N.B.  The English translation (by Google Translate) of "未将对象引用设置到对象的实例。" is "Object reference not set to an instance of an object.".

(6)  Restarting the SUP Server CANNOT resolve this problem.
