1946287 - ESI - High RFC response time in STAD and ST03 for TASK_VITAL_PERIOD

Symptom

  • Response times for certain RFC statistic records (STAD) seem higher than expected (approximately more than 10 minutes, but the actual value can differ). The response time is caused by an approximately 95% roll-wait time.
  • The function module that can be identified as responsible for these roll wait times is TASK_VITAL_PERIOD (program SAPLTASK_VITAL).
  • As a result, overall RFC response times in ST03 may be higher due to the roll-wait time. TASK_VITAL_PERIOD records make up a significant proportion of total RFC calling time.
