1948410 - Error command not allowed within a multi-statement transaction when query run from JAVA using JDBC - ASE

Symptom

  • Query run from the sql prompt runs fine
  • Same query being called from the JAVA using JDBC connection reports following error:

ERROR [STDERR] (ajp-server_ip10.00.000.200-8109-1) com.sybase.jdbc3.jdbc.SybSQLException: The 'CREATE TABLE' command is not allowed within a multi-statement transaction in the 'tempdb' database.
