1948960 - Crystal Report rotated text could not be rendered correctly in iPAD in vertical position after upgrade

Symptom

Crystal Report rotated text could not be rendered in MOBI because BOE doesn't know what type of browser the MOBI uses.

Environment

  • Business Intelligence 4.0 SP6 Patch 6
  • BI App 5.0.7

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Create a Text Cell in any report based on any data source in Crystal Report for Enterprise tool/Crystal Report Designer tool.
  2. Select Text cell, Right Click and select Format Cell.
  3. Go to Font properties.
  4. Select Rotation as 90 degrees.
  5. Save and export to repository to Mobile Category.
  6. View the report in iPAD and observe that the text is still in horizontal position.

Resolution

This issue has been resolved in BI 4.0 SP05 Patch 15, SP08 Patch 1, SP09. It has also been fixed in BI 4.1 in SP01 Patch 4, SP03, and SP02 Patch 1.
