1951502 - saveAs() method returns -1 for PDF format in PB .NET Web forms and/or Web services within Windows 7 Professional or Enterprise

Symptom

On Windows 7 32-bits (Professional or Enterprise) the datawindow method dw.SaveAs() in PDF! format always fails with -1 response in PB .NET Web Forms and/or PB .NET Web Services. The same method call works fine in Windows 2003.

  • PowerBuilder 12.5 onwards
  • Windows 7 32-bit Professional or Enterprise
  • Corresponding IIS (Internet Information Services) installed on Windows 7 environment (where PB Web Forms or Web Services application will be installed on)
  • Acrobat Distiller ADIST5.inf printer driver that comes with PowerBuilder 12.5 installation
  • Ghostscript 8.71 (according to PowerBuilder manuals)
