Symptom
- The timing of releasing object, index and partition metadata descriptors has been changed since Adaptive Server Enterprise (ASE) 15.0.
- If those metadata descriptors are insufficient, ASE attempts to recycle the descriptors which are currently unused.
- However, ASE 15.0 and 15.5 do not recycle the descriptors bound to tables or indexes which have been updated even if the descriptors are not currently used by any session.
