Net value of product PQR exceeds the limit set in contract ABC (Here PQR is the product ID and ABC is the contract ID)
Environment
SAP Business ByDesign
Reproducing the Issue
- Navigate to the Sales Order work center.
- From Common Tasks, select New Sales Order.
- In the New Sales Order screen, click Create with Reference.
- Enter Reference Type as Contract and Reference ID as ABC, then click OK.
- Go to the Items section and, for the contract item, click Check Contract Consistency.
A warning message appears: Net value of product PQR exceeds the limit set in contract ABC.
Cause
The warning occurs because no Target Amount has been maintained in Contract ABC.
Resolution
- Navigate to the Sales Order work center.
- Go to the Contracts view.
- In the Show field, select All Contracts, and in the Find field, enter ABC.
- Edit the Contract and click View All.
- Navigate to the General tab and the Main Information subtab.
- Under Order Statistics, maintain a value in the Target Amount field and save the contract.
Now, create a New Sales Order with reference to this contract, where the value is less than the Target Amount, no longer triggers the warning message.
