Detail reports provide additional information, which is not visible in the main report. Most often this is context-specific transaction data. A main report displays data from the master data source, whereas a detail report displays data from the transaction data source. The main report provides an overview of aggregated information. The detail report provides a specific data subset. An example of this might be a detail report for all the POs associated with a specific customer.
