1955329 - Error: Identifier Or Type Is Missing

While adding an Additional Resource to the Produce Activity in the Production Bill Of Material system throws an error :

Identifier or Type is Missing

1. Go to the Planning and Production Master Data work center.
2. Go to the Production Bill of Operations view.
3. In the field Show, select All Bills of Operations by Selection from drop down list and search for the required Bill Of Operations ID using Find option.
4. Edit it and navigate to the Structure tab.
5. Expand All the activities using button Actions on the screen.
6. Select the Element Type as Produce Activity.
7. Then under Details Section, go to the Additional Resources sub-tab.
8. Using Add Row button add an Additional Resource ID XYZ using value selection.
9. Then perform Save.

Here you see that system throws an error : Identifier or Type is Missing

Since you have marked the checkbox Main Production Resource for the Resource ID (XYZ).Therefore system considers that as Main Production Resource and cannot be again used as Additional Resource for any produce activity in the relevant Bill of Operations.

In order to use required Resource ID (XYZ) as an Additional Resource for the Produce Activity, please follow the below steps:

1. Go to the Supply Chain and Design Master Data work center.
2. Go to the Resources view.
3. In the field Show, select All Resources By Selection from drop down list and search Resource ID using Find option.
4. Select and Edit it.
5. In General tab, under section: Resource Use.
6. Here de-select the checkbox for option: Main Production Resource.
7. Then perform Save.

 Note: Resource ID set as Main Production Resource can not be used as an Additional Resource.
