1957618 - Crystal Reports Designer and CR .NET Windows.Form viewer will crash if an embedded image is in report

Symptom

When Opening or Previewing a report in Crystal Report Designer or in a Windows Application using the .NET SDK they may crash.

Cause

This issue was due to an update to the image handler within our products and tracked in the following Adapt - ADAPT01709226

Resolution

Issue has been fixed in the following patches:

  • Crystal Reports for Visual Studio Service Pack 8
  • Crystal Reports 2008 Designer Fix Pack 6.3
  • Crystal Reports 2011 Designer SP09
  • Crystal Reports 2013 Designer SP03
