1957705 - Error: "There has been problem logging on SAP BusinessObjects Intelligence platform", when attempting to open a report in Crystal Reports for Enterprise

Symptom

  • Unable to open or save a report in Crystal Reports for Enterprise.
  • It is possible to open or save other reports in Crystal Reports for Enterprise.
  • In Crystal Reports for Enterprise, when attempting to navigate to a report saved on the BusinessObjects Business Intelligence repository, it fails with the error:

    " There has been a problem logging on SAP BusinessObjects Enterprise Business Intelligence Platform.
       An unexpected error occurred. Please contact your Network Administrator. 

       Error: com.businessobjects.sdk.biar.exception.XSDException$InvalidEnumItemException: Item '16' does not exist 
       in enumeration ;ReportFormatTypeSubstitutionEnum'. (FWM 04016) "
