While executing a long running query that is making logical reads on a table, the monitoring tables monProcessStatement and monProcessActivity for this process will not show any increments for the LogicalReads column. The values in the LogicalReads column will only be increased when the statement completes. The PhysicalReads column of the same monitoring tables is steadily increasing while the query is running.
