1961439 - Error Message "Market Segment not permitted for overhead cost projects" While Migrating Projects

You are migrating Projects into your system and during the process of Simulation, system throws below error message:

Market Segment not permitted for overhead cost projects

1. Go to Business Configuration work center.
2. Open the activity Migration of Projects from the Change Project or from Overview.
3. In the Migration screen, select the file and select Execute Migration.

The cause for the issue is that, you have maintained the Project type as Cost Collecting Project (overhead cost projects) and also maintained the Market Segment.

It is not allowed to maintain the Market Segment for the project type Cost Collecting Project.

The columns Customer Group, Product Category, Country, Region, Sales Unit are Profit analysis attributes so called Market Segment.

This is expected system behavior.

Hence, remove any data entered in the Market Segment and try migrating the file again.
