1961449 - Error Message "Conversion between UoMs XYZ and ABC is redundant"

Symptom

When you maintain a Quantity Conversions between the UoMs XYZ and ABC, and upon saving system throws below error message:

Conversion between UoMs XYZ and ABC is redundant

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Go to Product Data work center.
  2. Select Materials view.
  3. Edit a Material and maintain a Quantity Conversions

Cause

The cause for the issue is that you have already maintain a Quantity Conversion between these two UoMs. Hence, it not possible to maintain more than one Quantity Conversion for a same combination.

Resolution

This is expected system behavior.
