1961488 - Custom Fields are Displaying Twice in the Migration Template

You have created extension fields in a screen through a custom solution and the same have been adapted to the migration. However, when accessing the latest migration template for the respective object, you observe that the fields are displaying twice.

• SAP Business ByDesign, all its versions.
• SAP Hybris Cloud for Customer, all its versions.

This is the standard system behavior in test systems. As a test system will have both the original and patch solutions, it is expected that there will be one instance of the extension fields for each solution. That will be the case even though the solution is disabled, as the extension field will remain active should the solution be reactivated in the future, avoiding possible inconsistencies.

In order to be able to differentiate between these fields with same label:

1. Open the migration template's XML file;
2. Select the rows 3 to 6;
3. Right-click them and select "Unhide";
4. In row 5, you can see the technical name of the fields — for the PDI fields, the technical name will begin with the namespace of the PDI solution to which it belongs.

As the fields should not be deleted, the workaround is to hide or ignore the field which is irrelevant, maintaining data only in the field belonging to the solution which is in the latest version. This behavior will not occur in the productive system.
