1961516 - Unable to Use Extension Field in Extension Scenarios Since Add Field Button is Grayed Out

You have created an Extension Field but you are not able to extend this Field in Extension Scenarios since the Add Field button is grayed out

1. Go to Product Data work center.
2. Select Materials view.
3. Edit an Material.
4. Select Adaptation Mode and go to Extension Fields section.
5. Highlight the Extension Field and select Further Usage link.

Where the Add Field button is grayed out

The reason that the button Add Field is grayed out for the Extension Field is that the extension field is already extended to all the available extension scenarios.

Scroll down further in the screen to field the list of Extension Scenarios which uses this field. You can select the extension scenario and select Deactivate button to remove it.
