Symptom

  • A Webi report is created that is based on a BICS connection to a BEx query that has one mandatory variable and one or more optional variables.
  • In the “Set Variable” panel in Webi, a value is assigned to the mandatory variable.
  • The mandatory variable has the “Set as prompt” value checked and one of the optional variables doesn’t have the “Set as prompt” value checked.
  • When the Webi report is run, an error that states “Error when trying to refresh the current report.” is shown and after clicking “OK”, an error message that states “The mandatory variable”<Variable Technical ID>” has not been given a value. (WIS 00000)” is shown.
