1965804 - How to Handle Open Tasks to Enter Cost Rates for Resource ABC Valid on YYYY.MM.DD in Cost and Revenue Work Center

You get some tasks to enter cost rate for resource ABC valid on YYYY.MM.DD in Cost and Revenue work center and Work view.

You want to know why there are the tasks and how to handle them.

You can see the tasks with following steps:

1. Go to work center Cost and Revenue
2. Select view Work, then you can see the tasks.

There are some projects in the system with start date being YYYY.MM.DD. And the resources mentioned in these tasks are used in those projects.

System is unable to calculate planned costs as the valid from date of resource is after YYYY.MM.DD. So system generates such tasks.

If you check and find that the related projects are closed and you do not want to change the project any more, you can just close these tasks by selecing Actions and then Complete in the Cost and Revenue work center.

You can also edit the start dates of the mentioned projects so that they start on or after the valid from date of the resources used.

A third option would be to edit the valid from dates of the resource cost rates so that they start on/before the start dates of the related projects.
