1966023 - ERROR #1028 and Message: 14021 when creating a subscription - SRS

Symptom

  • Errors when SAP Replication Server (SRS) attempts to validate a subscription against replication definition in Primary Replication Server (PRS):

E. ERROR #1027 USER(sa) - seful/cm.c(4204) Open Client Client-Library error: Error: 67175468, Severity 4 -- 'ct_connect(): protocol specific layer: external error: The attempt to connect to the server failed.'.

E.  ERROR #1028 USER(sa) - seful/cm.c(4204) Message from server: Message: 14021, State 0, Severity 12 -- 'Invalid login attempted by user 'sa''.

  • While creating a subscription in a Replicate Replication Server (RRS):

I. REPLICATE Replication Server: Creating subscription <subscription_name> for replication definition <rep_def> with replicate at <servername.database>
