Symptom
- When trying to create a Communication Channel object in the Process Integration (PI) or Process Orchestration (PO) Integration Directory the following error is thrown:
Error Loading Adapter Metadata
Attempt to access the 1 requested objects on 1 failed. Detailed information: com.sap.aii.ib.core.roa.RoaObjectAccessException: Attempt to read object Adapter Metadata SOAP http://sap.com/xi/XI/System, type AdapterMetaData from application REPOSITORY on system REPOSITORY failed. Object does not exist. Detailed informatio n: Software component version with name SAP BASIS 7.02 not found - You may get a similar error such as:

- This error can occur for any PI adapter type e.g. File, JDBC, JMS, SOAP, RNIF etc
- This error can occur for any SAP BASIS content version e.g. 7.00, 7.10, 7.11, 7.31 etc
