1968002 - Unable to write to archive -- (db_backup.cxx) - SAP IQ

Symptom

  • IQ backup operation encountered backup error, while it was writing backup image files to file-system:
    Msg 21, Level 14, State 0:
    SQL Anywhere Error -1012002: Unable to write to archive. ('') -- (db_backup.cxx 741)
  • Other errors that can be logged in the iqmsg file include:
    Exception Thrown from dblib/db_backup.cxx:855, Err# 4
    ErrID: 4098 (db_sqlexception); SQLCode: -1012002, SQLState: 'QUA02', Severity: 14
    Unable to write to archive. ('hard error encountered opening device xxxxxx')
