1969650 - Released Time Entries cannot be Edited or Deleted.

Symptom

When the employee or service agent tries to edit released time entries (Active, Approved) or tries to delete the rejected time entries against project tasks in time sheet the time entries read-only and delete button is disabled in time sheet.

Reproducing the Issue

Case 1.

Go to the Home work center.
Choose Self-Services Overview view.
Choose the link Edit Time Sheet.
The time sheet floor plan opens and here when the employee or service agent tries to edit released time entries (Active, Approved) or tries to delete the rejected (marked in red color) time entries against project tasks in time sheet the time entries read-only and Delete button is disabled in time sheet.

Case 2.

Go to the Project Team work center.
Chose Edit Time Sheet under Common Tasks.
The time sheet floor plan opens and here when the employee or service agent tries to edit released time entries (Active, Approved) or tries to delete the rejected (marked in red color) time entries against project tasks in time sheet the time entries read-only and Delete button is disabled in time sheet.

Cause

When the employee or service agent tries to edit released time entries (Active, Approved) or tries to delete the rejected time entries against project tasks in time sheet the time entries read-only and delete button is disabled in time sheet because the project task is Complete, Close or Stop.

Resolution

Once the project status Revoked back to release the time entries and delete button will enabled in the Time Sheet and the employee or service agent can go ahead edit and delete released the time entries in time sheet.

Follow the steps to revoke the project status back to release this can only be done by Project Manager.

  1. Go to Project Management work center.
  2. Choose Projects View.
  3. Choose Projects sub view.
  4. Choose Project XYZ (XYZ represents the project ID against which the employee or service agent had done the time recoding which was rejected by the Approver Project Manager).
  5. Choose Edit --> Project Plan Button.
  6. Go to Basic Data tab.
  7. Go to Project Status value help choose the Revoke Closure and Revoke Completion and Save.

Rejected time entries:

If you don’t want to revoke the Project status back to release then the Administrator can delete the Rejected time entries from the Employee or Service Agent Time Sheet via Time Administration work center.
