1971013 - XIAdapterFramework "Maximum request length exceeded"

Symptom

A Web Service is called by the SOAP receiver communication channel.
(PI sends a message to a Web Service using SOAP Receiver communicationc channel.)

In the Communication Channel Monitoring tool, the following error can be observed:

com.sap.engine.interfaces.messaging.api.exception.MessagingException: SOAP: response message contains an error XIAdapter/PARSING/ADAPTER.SOAP_EXCEPTION soap fault: There was an exception running the extensions specified in the config file --> Maximum request length exceeded

The error only happens when the outgoing XML payload or some of the attachments (if exist) are bigger than a certain size (e.g. 5MB).
