1971531 - SUP client devices are not able to register through an Apache hosted Relay server

Symptom

  • Client devices(in this instance iOS, but can affect other device types) are unable to register to Sybase Unwired Platform.
  • Client MOCA log shows:
    24T105113, T3, CmoObject::Execute: CancelRequest: Error: 516
    24T105113, T3, 516, -9 Connect failed.
    24T105113, T3, App Log - Error: 516 Detail: Error sending request to server Native Error: -9 Source: /Users/iotabuilder/svn/Pioneer/MOClients/iPhone/../Common/C/moClient.cpp 1660.
    24T105113, T3, Disconnected S2D connection
    24T105113, T3, App Log - Status Event: Disconnected
    24T105113, T3, SupHandler: invoking ConnectionStateChanged with values status=2 and the ConnectionType=1 error=516error message=Error: 516 Detail: Error sending request to server Native Error: -9 Source: /Users/iotabuilder/svn/Pioneer/MOClients/iPhone/../Common/C/moClient.cpp 1660.
    24T105113, T3, SupHandler: invoking ConnectionStateChanged()
  • A network sniffer trace shows the client device connects to the Apache/Relay Server Box fine and the Apache server returns a http 200 status(ok) to the client. The Apache server then replies with a TCP/P "FIN" to close it's side of the converssation on the next
    packet, which is not the correct process.
