1971789 - Error Check XYZ Already Exists in the System When Posting New Incoming Check Even Check XYZ Was Canceled


Incoming check XYZ is canceled, but when you create a new one with the same check ID, the system gives error message: Check XYZ already exists in the system.

Reproducing the Issue

You can reproduce the issue with following steps:

  1. Go to work center Liquidity Management and select common task New Incoming Check.
  2. Input the same thing as check XYZ, which is already canceled.
  3. Select Post, then you get the error.


System does not allow you to create a new check with the same ID and same posting date as the one you already cancel.


You can create a new incoming check with the same check ID, but select another posting date.
