1972404 - The Universe Parameter 'THOROUGH_PARSE' When Set As 'No' is Executing SQL Statement When Parsing Any Object In Universe

Symptom

  • Error message: "failed to execute the expression for business object xxx . Check the object properties" when checking integrity of Universe converted object in IDT
  • Execute object fails in Integrity checker
  • Check object execution (DB) hangs
  • The universe parameter 'THOROUGH_PARSE' when set as 'No' is executing SQL statement when parsing any object in Universe Designer.
  • As per the Universe designer Guide if THOROUGH_PARSE is set as No then it should only 'PREPARE' and 'DESCRIBE' the statements to parse SQL for objects.
