1973090 - Configuration file error, Client message 5806 - SAP ASE

You are getting frequently messages like this in the Adaptive Server Enterprise errorlog:

server Configuration file '<path>/<ASE name>.cfg' has been written and the previous version has been renamed to '<path>/ASE name>.001'.
server The configuration option '<configuration option>' has been changed by '<user>' from '<previous settings>' to '<new setting>'.

the client will get the following message:

Msg 5806, Level 16, State 1:
Server '<ASE name>', Procedure 'sp_configure', Line 1099:
Warning: The file `<path>/<ASE name>.001' has been overwritten. To prevent this rename, move, or delete old configuration files. See System Administration Guide for details.

*After 15.7 SP100, the severity of error message 5806 is changed from Level 16 to Level 10. So you receive only the warning message.
