1973484 - GRC functionality works on NWBC 3.0 but not NWBC 3.5

Using NWBC from the desktop to connect to SAP Portal.  This works with NWBC version 3.0, but not NWBC 3.5.

This screenshot is resulting from opening request in Access Request > Search Request screen:

In ST22 dump reveals:

Category ABAP Programming Error
Runtime Errors ASSERTION_FAILED
ABAP Program CL_GRFN_API_IDENT=============CP and GET_ENTITY_ID

Issue also occurs when attempting to open from work inbox: Display Report "Risk and Control Matrix" (screenshot below):
